What is your "why"? What drives you to do this important work each day?

Putting a smile on a student's face. I have learned over the years how much my presence achieves that. I want them to know and feel important.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

Servicing the students and representing them and people of African ancestry in the school community. Providing experiences and opportunities to students that are not always available to them.

What would you most like families to know about the role of Student Support Workers in HRCE schools?

We love your children, and we do our best amid many obstacles to ensure they are having an equitable educational experience.
